New Years, New Beginnings
As we start up a brand new year, and everyone is making their New Years resolutions again, I want to throw mine out there for you. This year I want to take my current love of teaching guitar and music, and expand it from my little home studio, out to the rest of the world. Now, this something that I’ve been working on for a very long time but have been giving myself pretty much any excuse I could think of to tell myself that I’m not ready to undergo this major task yet. But really, that’s all they are. Excuses. Sure, some of them have seemed pretty legitimate at times, and indeed, some of them really have been legit. But this year I want to make a change. A change for the better. A change to allow myself to be more productive, and to be a better teacher that will hopefully one day reach more people.
Music and guitar have always been a passion of mine but sometimes life throws things at you like families, jobs, and other responsibilities, that you really do have no other choice but to put your passions on hold for a while and prioritize. So, while it can be pretty difficult to find the time and energy to take on something new like this, this year I want to be ready for it. I want to be able to look back and really be proud of what has been accomplished this year, and many years to come. Strumcoach is my way of proving to myself(and to the world) that no matter what craziness in life you may have going on, to never give up on the things that you love.
So there it is. My goals for 2016. To stop making excuses for things that prevent me from moving forward in pursuing my goals, and to also bring a great musical learning experience to you along the way.
So how about you? What are your goals for this year? What steps are you going to take to get there?
