This week’s song comes to you from Carl Brown of GuitarLessons365.com. You will need a capo to be able to play along with the song, but notice how the capo is on the 12th fret. If you know anything about octaves, then you’ll know that putting a capo on the 12th fret raises your guitar’s sound up by one octave (or 12 notes; E is still E, C is still C etc.). This means that even if you don’t have a capo, you could subtract 12 frets from the fret numbers that he gives you and 17 becomes 5, and so on. This way you can still play along with him, or the actual song and it will sound the same. It will be an octave lower, of course, but they will all be the same notes.
As always, like/subscribe/comment on Carl’s video or page if you found this song tutorial useful.
